Commissioning and Design Engineer

Overall Purpose of the Job: Responsible for efficient pre-and post-sales engineering
support, engineering design and commissioning of all  operations projects.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

· A Technical Diploma or Degree in electronics,
electrical or any other relevant technical qualification;

· A minimum of 5 years Engineering Design and
commissioning experience of Tyco Security solutions;

· At least 3 to 5 years engineering pre-sales
support in fire and security industry;

· Engineering certification in any of the Tyco
and Honeywell Prowatch systems would be an added advantage

· Project Management Knowledge and

· Sound knowledge and understanding of CCTV,
Access Control and Intrusion Detection will be an added advantage.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Complying with all the necessary engineering
lifecycles in order to ensure that a 100% success rate is achieved;

· Pre and after sales engineering support,
engineering design and commissioning;

· Designing of drawings according to functional
and technical specifications;

· Partaking ownership of the engineering
processes throughout a project life cycle;

· Maintaining the equipment labelling schedule;

· Updating the drawing register;

· Facilitating the technical documentation

· Continuously liaising with the Installation
team to ensure the correct installation information is provided;

· Assisting in installation fault finding to
ensure compliance to quality;

· Partaking in the quality assurance process of
installations undertaken;

· understanding of HSE will be an added

· Willing to travel into Africa or nationally and

· Maintaining a good customer relationship with
all TIFS clients.
