SHE Manager

JOB SUMMARY:      The incumbent will be responsible for health, safety and environmental requirements and management of the allocated site.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Risk management through risk assessments
  • Accident/Incident investigations
  • Identify health and safety training needs
  • Ensure validity of certificates and licenses
  • Attend health and safety meetings
  • Ensure correct completion of workmen’s compensation report
  • Carry out internal audits and compiling safety files
  • Ensure that the company comply with the legal and client safety, health and environmental requirements
  • Advising on Occupational health and safety legislations
  • Carry out SHE training and awareness

 

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree/ND Risk Management
  • Grade 12
  • SAMTRAC/SHEQ Systems
  • Auditors course

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Safety related experience for at least 8 -10 years

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
  • Incident investigation
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Acts
  • Worked with clients as SHE Officer and compiles safety file
  • Computer literate
